Pasay City government officials led by Mayor Wenceslao Trinidad
attended the re-opening of Unioil retail service station.
The station located at F.B. Harrison corner Porvenir Streets in
Pasay City is part of the company's program to refurbish its service
and retail stations and entice more motorists not only in Metro Manila
but in nearby provinces as well. Trinidad said Unioil's decision to put
up additional investment in the city is a sign of confidence in the
city government's program to attract both foreign and local investors.
“This is a very positive sign of growing confidence in our
impetus to enhance investments in the city as well as provide
employment to our residents,” Trinidad said. Aside from Trinidad, other
local officials led by Councilors Moti Arceo and Emmy Calixto Rubiano
also attended the event. A motorcade and a brief program was also held
as part of the program.
For his part, Chito Medina-Cue Jr., Unioil General Manager said
the re-opened station will combine the company's famed
costumer-friendly service with affordable yet high-quality petroleum
products that has been the hallmark of Unioil since its inception. Like
the rest of the company's station, it also offers the full range of
Unioil products including the company's innovative and
environment-friendly Pure Diesel Plus, Quantum Pure Power, Unleaded
Gasoline and lubricants.
Pure Diesel Plus was formulated to perform like a premium diesel
resulting to improved fuel efficiency and more power achieved through
better combustion while Quantum Pure Power has a 93 plus improved
octane rating. In a related development, Medina-Cue stressed that the
company is set to open more stations in the next few months in Metro
Manila and nearby provinces as well as in the Mindanao and Visayas
region this year.
Unioil unveiled a P90 million expansion plan that saw the construction
of additional stations in strategic places in Quezon City, Paranaque,
and Caloocan. Each service stations cost about P15 million.
