Caltex is to grow its retail operations in the Philippines substantially as part of a regional expansion, the company has revealed. Of the 400 new Caltex fuel service stations to open in the Asia Pacific region, between 120 and 125 will be located in the Philippines, according to Chevron Philippines’s Communications and Government Relations manager, Toby Nebrida.
Chevron’s Caltex brand has a strong presence in the Philippine, where it has over 1850 fuel service stations nationwide. "We are here for the long haul and we are here to stay. Asia-Pacific is one of Chevron's strategic markets – the Philippines, in particular, is at the centre of this market and we're looking at a bright future here," said Nebrida, speaking at Caltex’s 75th anniversary celebration in Cebu city. The company also announced the local launch of its new brand campaign, entitled ‘Enjoy the Journey’, and an image refresh being rolled out across the Asia-Pacific region. The changes include brighter and more contemporary fuel service stations, including new canopy lighting. "These changes reflect Caltex’s confidence in our partners. They are designed to increase our efficiency and cement our presence here in the Philippines. Our strategy for Caltex is to aggressively upgrade and expand our network and facilities in growth centres around the country,” Nebrida added.
