Petrotec India has inaugurated its new industrial premises in
Gandhinagar, in the State of Gujarat. The building has been especially
designed to house facilities for manufacturing hydraulic modules for
petrol pumps and will enable us to meet growing demand for this type of
equipment.
Given the importance of the event, a number of members of the Board of the Petrotec Group attended the launch, namely Messrs. Simão Cabral, Mário Augusto and Bernardo Monteiro.
The new premises provide the company with very modern facilities. The building houses two production lines for the manufacturing of petrol meters and pumping systems, respectively. It also features ample facilities for logistics and stock management, and the ample shipping facilities deserve particular highlight.
Quality control has not been forgotten and relies both on on-going staff training and on providing the staff with all necessary quality control equipment and means.
Petrotec India’s staff team is rather young and has actively assisted with decisions on the final layouts for the facility and plant, which involvement has been a tremendous contributor to the maintenance of strong team spirit and high levels of motivation among the staff. Staff training has been conducted over several months and was closely monitored by expert technical staff from other units of the Group. During the process, some of Petrotec India’s personnel actually travelled to the parent plant in Portugal for specific technical training, and took the opportunity to get acquainted with the Group’s management procedures and culture.
