Essar Oil service station in rural location - With over
1250 Retail Outlets, Essar Oil is planning to expand its
network further. Efforts have been made to increase the non-fuel
revenues by
tying up with a number of service providers, infrastructure and FMCG
companies to complement the retail sales and generate new business
opportunity for the franchisees.
Essar Oil Retail is emerging as a one stop destination across
variety of categories such as Automobiles,
Lubricants, AgroChemicals, Banking, Telecom and Food and
Beverages. Social service initiatives have also been implemented
such as Blood Donation initiatives.
Non fuel retail on the service station is a key developing area and
profit centre that brings additional walk in trade. Most of the retail
alliances are influenced by the requirements of the target or local
customer, the potential of the target market and the geographical
location of the site.
To cite some strategic alliances, the Indian leading car
batteries manufacturer EXIDE sells batteries through the network.
Availability of top Automotive Lubricant brands such as SERVO, CASTROL,
TOTAL and ELF are made available meeting the varying needs of the
customers. Installation of ATM machines by the leading Indian
Nationalized bank – the State Bank of India offers easy payment
convenience to its customers. Western Union Money Transfer
facilities too are available at select Retail Outlets.
Essar Oil’s retail network largely covers the national and state
highways and the rural areas, making it most suitable network for
distribution of seeds by National Seeds Corporation and sale of quality
agrochemicals products by Rallis India Limited. Last but not the least
is the AMUL KIOSK installed at prominent retail outlets offering its
entire range of milk products to the retail customers.
Essar service stations are being developed as an one stop shop service
for consumers and most importantly are focused on the local consumer
needs.
