China: Shell Yanchang Joint Venture to Develop Service Station Network

Shell and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum joint venture are to develop 100 service stations in the northwest Shaanxi Province.
Shell made the announcement after launching it 10th service
station in the Shaanxi Province. Shell and Yanchang formed
a 45-46 joint venture last year to construct and operate the stations.
The remaining 9 percent is held by Shaanxi Tianli Investment.
Significantly , Yanchang, affiliated to the Shaanxi provincial
government, is one of only four companies qualified to explore for oil
and gas in China.
