Radiant Systems, has announced an agreement with Gippsland Petroleum
Group (GPG), a Radiant customer for more than 15 years, to deploy the
latest generation of point-of-sale technology across its 20 retail fuel
locations in Victoria.
“The Radiant solution enables our headquarters staff to manage
sophisticated promotions across all locations and gives our sites the
ability to accept multiple payment types,” said Anthony Van Breugel,
principle of GPG. “To thrive in the Australian petrol market, we need
tools that allow us to compete with the majors, and Radiant gives us
just that.”
The solution, which includes point of sale, fuel control and
above-store systems, quickly moved beyond pilot as Radiant made use of
its proven deployment methodology and a standard interface to the
legacy back office system.
Radiant Configuration Manager enables head-office staff to manage
combination specials and promotions, including cross promotion of
convenience items and fuel, uniquely tailored to each location. Radiant
POS software running on P1550 point-of-sale terminals integrated with
Tiger fuel controllers create the fastest customer experience inside
the store and on the forecourt and gives GPG a number of options, such
as designating certain fueling positions as pre-pay during specific
times of day. Furthermore, the solution allows for deploying outdoor
card readers if competitive forces in Australia require this in the
future.
“We pride ourselves as a local company with 20 years of experience in
the Australian petrol market, who can also draw on our experience in
Europe and the Americas to ensure our customers here can take advantage
of global trends,” said Jonathan Tosh, director of product development
for Radiant in Australia. “And that makes us a great partner for
companies like Gippsland Petroleum Group.”
