UAE: Roads and Transportation Authority, Emarat, Run Awareness Seminar For Fuel Tank Drivers

Dubai’s Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) has held an awareness programme for drivers of fuel tanks in the Emirate. The programme, organised in cooperation with Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), was held at the company’s Al Qusais central workshop.
Topics covered at the workshop included new systems and measures regarding timing and placement of fuel tank traffic in Dubai. RTA representatives explained new regulations on the use of roads by trucks and tacks, and also distributed a handbook covering safety and security measures on the road.
Emarat’s Terminals and Logistics Manager, Ibrahim Yacoob Al Tamimi, expressed his thanks for the RTA initiative. In addition to information seminars, the RTA carries out regular maintenance on trucks to ensure their road-worthiness.
