UAE Petrol Retail Price of Diesel to be Reduced

The price of diesel will drop by 4.5 per cent to Dh14.55 per gallon
from Dh15.25 at the Enoc, Eppco and Emarat petrol stations in Dubai
from Monday, according to sources in the three companies.
The diesel price would then have come down by Dh4.7 (24.5 per cent)
in less than three months, sources in Eppco said.The decrease follows a
drop in the international oil prices.
Follow-up committees at these companies study prices of fuel on a
weekly basis in line with the international prices, the sources
explained.
The drop will also reduce the wide gap between the prices of diesel at
the branches of the three gas stations in Dubai and those of Adnoc. “It
will help reduce traffic congestion before Adnoc gas stations as well,”
an Enoc official said.
Sources said the Dh10 difference in the price of diesel between Abu
Dhabi-based Adnoc’s stations and the service stations of the three
Dubai-based companies will become only Dh6.
Enoc, Eppco and Emarat raised diesel price up to Dh19.25 per gallon in
July following the increase in the oil prices worldwide.
