Abu Dhabi's oil product retailer, Adnoc Distribution, raised prices of
lubricants last week, but kept prices of fuel, diesel and cooking fuel
- liquefied petroleum gas - unchanged for the time being, despite the
widening gap in domestic fuel prices and the prices of crude oil in the
international market.
The price of engine oil grades were increased 16.66 per cent
to 33.33 per cent depending on the brand and the pack. A four-litre
pack of Adnoc Image now costs Dh125 as compared with Dh105 earlier,
while the price for a one-litre pack of the same grade and brand costs
Dh35, up from Dh30. The price for a litre of Adnoc Pearl rose 33.33 per
to Dh20. The prices of diesel engine oil grades, automotive gear oils,
transmission fluids, four-stroke engine oils, industrial oils,
coolants, brake fluids, distilled water and greases were raised as well.
However, there is no change in the prices of Adnoc Global Ultra engine
oil and 2T -2 Stroke low smoke engine oil, Adnoc Distribution said in
the new list of lubricants selling price to pumps. Adnoc Distribution,
a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), is responsible
for distribution, storage and transportation of refined products in the
emirate.
Refilling an LPG cylinder now costs Dh20. For a new LPG connection, the
customer now has to pay Dh200 towards installation charges, which
includes the price for a fully-filled LPG cylinder. The installation
fee was increased to Dh200 from Dh120, effective from June 1, Adnoc
staff said.
