An Iranian tourist bus which had stopped to inflate its tyres ended in
disaster when the infating tyre exploded killing those who were working
on the tyre.
Initially mistaken as a possible terror explosion, the Syrian
Interior Minister made the following statement "It was an Iranian bus
and an Iranian driver, transporting Iranian tourists and travellers, it
was about to have a problem with one of the tyres fixed. It entered a
petrol station and during the inflation of the tyre, it seems that
great pressure caused the tyre to explode. This caused a
great wave of pressure, which led to the death of the Iranian driver
and two workers who were present, and to damage to the opposite side of
the bus and to the opposite wall. This is all that happened. Our
investigations show there was no terrorism factor behind the incident."
