South Africa: SAPIA Clarifies on SATAWU National Strike

SAPIA members’ drivers are not represented by the South African
Transport and Allied Workers’ Union (SATAWU) and SAPIA members do not
belong to the Road Freight Association.
SAPIA has been assured by its members that every action possible has
been taken to mitigate any impact of SATAWU’s national strike on oil
companies’ customers.n SAPIA members will keep on monitoring supply of
petroleum products to ensure supply disruption of products by
third-parties vehicles impact remain minimal. SAPIA members have
contingency plans to minimise supply disruption to their service
stations.
