Qatar: Woqod Opens New Service Station in Rayyan

Qatar Fuel (Woqod) has opened a new service station in Rayyan and
Woqod’s vice-chairman and managing director Mohamed Turki al-Sobai and
members of the board of directors of the company were present on the
occasion.
Al-Sobai said the Rayyan station was the second to be opened within
a week after the commissioning of the Dukhan station last week. “This
station has a new brushless car wash, the first of its type in the
Middle East. The system relies on high pressure water to remove dust
and dirt from vehicles. As there are no brushes there is no risk of
scratches.”
In addition to car wash, the station also includes the Sidra
convenience store, ATM , mechanical workshops and quick lube
operations. “A new commercial centre will be completed very soon to
serve the community in this area.” Al-Sobai said two more service
stations, one in the Industrial Area and the other in Garrafa, are near
completion and scheduled to be opened later this year. “At least
a dozen additional locations are in various forms of planning and
construction and further openings are scheduled in the first half of
2010.”
