Oman Marketing Company has opened four new service stations with
state-of-the-art fuelling technology and automated inventory systems so
far this year.
The first Shell Service Station was opened at Dibaishi. The site is strategically located in Ibri, connecting to the proposed road to Saudi Arabia and the station has already become a key fuelling stop for long distance travellers. The station also serves the growing residential area of Dibaishi and also the oilfields of Safah and Daleel.
The second service station was opened in Waqaiba in Sohar and caters to a large trade area in the centre of the city. Since the opening, the station has seen continued growth in business and an advanced Select store is also to open shortly at the site.
The third service station is located at Falaj al Ohi, in Sohar. This service station will serve the Sohar Industrial area, the new Sohar airport which is under construction, and immediate trade areas.
The fourth service station at Al Shawaighya was opened last week (14 sep) and is located in Wilayat Al Mudhaibi, another strategic location on the road to Duqm. It will add to the development of the area which is already the focus of major construction and other infrastructure projects.
Hafidh al Azkawi, Network Delivery Manager of Shell Oman Marketing Company said: "With the addition of these four sites, Shell Oman now has a total number of 144 service stations across the length and breadth of the country and offers one of the most convenient locations within immediate reach of our customers. These 4 new service stations are designed according to the new Shell Visual Identity standards, technology and engineering and also feature "touchless" applications for site management.
Shell Oman will continue its efforts to improve maintenance and quality of its existing network and it has a robust plan to expand its network to cover areas of new growth in the country."
