Nigeria: IPMAN May Acquire NNPC Depots

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) may
acquire the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) petroleum
products depots located at Aba, Calabar and Port Harcourt when
ultimately the corporation is finalised for privatisation.
IPMAN Aba Zone Executive Chairman, Chief Obetta Lawrence, who
announced this at its 2008 yearly meeting with DPR held at its Aba
Osisioma Office, said that IPMAN national officers have been working
tirelessly to ensure that the acquisition is actualised in partnership
with other organisations he did not state.
In this regard too, he said that the national IPMAN leadership under
Mr. Tunji Adeniji, had in collaboration with the National Investment
Promotion Council (NIPC) from the Presidency, undertaken visits to
Venezuela and other countries under the Federal Government auspices.
