The Lagos State zonal office of the Department of Petroleum Resources
(DPR) says it has reopened four filling stations sealed off about two
weeks ago for under-dispensing products to customers.
Mr Gbenga Koku, operations controller, DPR, Lagos zonal office, told
The Tide source in Lagos that the stations were also penalised for poor
safety arrangements and embarking on rehabilitation without approval
from the DPR.
Koku said that the filling stations were reopened after complying with
the rules guiding their operations. He advised other filling stations
in the state to shun dubious acts, saying that the DPR would not spare
any of them found guilty of engaging in unwholesome practices.
Koku said that the organisation’s inspection team would continue to
ensure effective monitoring of fi]Jing stations in the state to ensure
that customers were getting value for their money.
