Jordan: Authorities Publish Fuel Price Rise

The government fuel price update published last week (14th Jan) saw a
increase in teh price of fuel which will remainin place till 18th
Febraury, the next date for announcment.
Fahd Fayez, President of the Service Station Owners Association
said the prices were higher than expected. "Our estiamtes
indicated that prices would have been increased by 1 to 2 percent, and
not the 2 to more 4 percent." Fayez pointed out that demand for
fuel had risen in the week leading up to the announcement as people
expected a price rise.
