Angola: Esso Grant us$400k for Remar

Luanda- "Esso" Oil company has disbursed us$ 400,000 in 2009 to the
Christian Centre for Help and Rehabilitation “Remar”, according to the centre's
general manager Luís Filipe Macedo.
Luís Filipe Macedo, said that the amount was divided into two parts,
us$100k were used to improve living and feeding conditions of the
centre in south Benguela province and us$300k for the centre in
Luanda, in Viana Township, with the same objective. He said the
institution needs at least us$ 500k per year, against the current
us$120k, to improve the service and implement its social and
economic projects.
With that amount "Remar" can improve food and living conditions of
people in the centre, restore, enlarge, fit out professional
centres and schools of the three centres existing in the
provinces of Benguela, Luanda and Kwanza Norte. Remar is a religious
institution that helps mistreated and discriminated people. In Angola
since 1996 it is present in the provinces of Luanda, Kwanza Sul
and Benguela.
